Iranian Forces State Assault on American Facility in Bahrain, Amid Regional Military Operations.
Tehran reports attacking a American military facility in Manama, as Iran launched missile attacks across the region in retaliation for a significant and continuing attack against it by the United States and Israeli forces.
Huge plumes of black smoke were seen rising from an vicinity close to the command center of the American Fifth Fleet in Bahrain's capital, Manama. The extent of any destruction is uncertain and the American officials has remained silent.
Regional Interceptions
In other parts of the Middle East, the United Arab Emirates, the State of Qatar and Kuwait - which all house US military bases - reported they have engaged and destroyed incoming projectiles in their air space.
In the Qatari capital, Qatar's defence ministry stated it had intercepted several missiles seemingly aimed at the Al Udeid Air Base, the largest American base in the region.
Operation "Truthful Promise 4"
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard stated it was attacking US bases and assets as part of operation "Truthful Promise 4", in response for the attack on Iran launched by the US and Israel on Saturday morning.
That initial attack - launched at around 06:15 GMT - has so far targeted locations linked to the Tehran's leadership, with President Trump calling on the people of Iran to rise up against the leadership.
Wider Impacts
In Israel, sirens were heard across the country after the Israeli military stated it had identified an barrage of missiles from Iran.
The defence ministry of the UAE announced that the nation has been targeted by a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"Emirati air defenses dealt with the projectiles with high efficiency and shot down a number of missiles," the statement continued.
Officials reported debris landed in a populated district in Abu Dhabi, resulting in some structural damage and the death of one civilian.
The US Air Force is stationed at the Al Dhafra base, south of the Emirati capital, along with the Emirati Air Force.
